RangeLogger

iPhone & iPad · iOS 17 o versioni successive · Mac con Apple Silicon

Quello che non è stato registrato non è accaduto.

RangeLogger is a robust recordkeeping app for your private, firearm-related sporting activities. It brings the key principle above – at the heart of our quality work at qteam service LLC – to your personal records.

Record range visits and sessions, keep track of your firearms, ammunition and accessories, and keep licenses, insurance and range details together – synced through your iCloud, backed up and printable whenever you need them on paper.

RangeLogger is a personal recordkeeping tool. It does not verify legal eligibility, licenses, permits or insurance coverage, and it does not provide firearm safety training or legal advice. Follow all applicable laws and range rules.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a “Restore Purchases” button? Are there subscriptions?

No. RangeLogger is a paid download with no in-app purchases and no subscriptions, so there is nothing to restore or cancel inside the app. To reinstall it on any of your devices, open the App Store, tap your account picture → Purchased, and download RangeLogger again with the same Apple Account you used to buy it – there is no additional charge.

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Do I need an account?

No. RangeLogger does not use an account with qteam service LLC. On first launch you review and accept the Safety & Legal notice; after that you can start recording right away.

How does iCloud sync work?

RangeLogger syncs automatically through your iCloud account – there is no separate sync switch in the app. Sync works when your device is signed in to iCloud with your Apple Account and iCloud is available for RangeLogger. Your records then appear on your other devices signed in with the same Apple Account. You can see your iCloud account status in RangeLogger under Settings.

If records don’t appear on another device: check the iCloud account status in RangeLogger’s Settings, make sure both devices use the same Apple Account, are online and have enough iCloud storage, and open RangeLogger on both devices. Syncing is not always instant and can take some time. Without iCloud, RangeLogger keeps working and stores your records on the device.

How do I back up, restore or move my records?

In RangeLogger’s Settings you can export a backup as a JSON file and import it again later – for example on a new device or to restore your records. Save the backup file somewhere safe, such as the Files app.

Important: a backup file contains all your record details in readable form and is not protected by App Lock. Store and share it as carefully as the information it contains.

How do I print my records?

Go to Settings → Print Report and choose all records or sessions only. For sessions you can print all dates or an inclusive date range. You can also start printing from the Sessions screen. Reports include session notes, malfunction and issue notes and attached photos, and are printed through the standard system print dialog (AirPrint). RangeLogger does not offer a separate PDF or CSV export.

What does App Lock do?

App Lock is optional and off by default. To turn it on, go to Settings → App Lock; Face ID or Touch ID must be set up on your device. When App Lock is on, RangeLogger locks when you open it or return to it, and you unlock it with Face ID, Touch ID or – as a fallback – your device passcode. For your privacy, App Lock closes unsaved forms when the app moves to the background, so save your entries before switching apps.

RangeLogger only receives the result of the authentication from the system – never your face or fingerprint data. App Lock protects access to the app; it does not protect backup files or printouts you have created.

Why does RangeLogger ask for Camera, Photos or Calendar access?

Only when you use a feature that needs it: the camera or photo picker when you add photos to sessions, firearms or licenses, and your calendar when you add a license expiration reminder. You can decline – recording works without these permissions – and change your choice at any time in the Settings app → RangeLogger.

How do I delete my data – including iCloud?

Records you delete in RangeLogger are removed from the device and, through iCloud sync, from your iCloud and your other synced devices.

Uninstalling RangeLogger removes the data on that device only – not the copy in your iCloud or on your other devices. To remove RangeLogger data from iCloud, open the Settings app → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage (or Manage Storage), select RangeLogger if it is listed and delete its data. This cannot be undone, so export a backup first if you want to keep your records.

Backup files, printouts and anything you have saved or shared yourself are not affected – delete or destroy them separately when you no longer need them.

Which devices are supported?

RangeLogger runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS / iPadOS 17 or later, and on Macs with Apple silicon (M1 or later) running macOS 14 or later. The App Store page always lists the current compatibility.

How can I report a bug or suggest a feature?

We appreciate your feedback. Please email support@qteam-service-llc.com with “RangeLogger” in the subject line.

Frequently asked questions

What is free, and what does Premium include?

Packing lists and suggestions, weather suggestions, the four before-you-go checks, papers and bookings, days and outfits, the travel map, photos, backups, Face ID lock, iCloud sync and all accessibility features are included.

Premium is a one-time in-app purchase – no subscription. It adds travelers and bags with airline weight limits, packing together with your family through iCloud, shopping lists, Calendar and Reminders export, printing and PDF sharing, the private travel diary, the next-trip widget, the travel-day Live Activity (Lock Screen, Dynamic Island and CarPlay) and Siri for your shopping list.

How do I get Premium on my other devices or after reinstalling?

Premium is linked to your Apple Account. Sign in with the same Apple Account on your other iPhone or iPad and use the restore option on the app’s Premium screen – there is no additional charge. With Apple Family Sharing turned on for purchases, up to five family members can use Premium too.

Payments and refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple; refunds can be requested at reportaproblem.apple.com.

How does packing together with my family work?

With Premium, you can invite family members to a trip through iCloud. Invited family members join for free and see and edit the shared trip on their own devices. Everyone you invite can see the shared trip’s content, so only invite people you trust. You can stop sharing or remove participants at any time.

How does iCloud sync work?

When your iPhone and iPad are signed in to iCloud with the same Apple Account, your trips sync between them through your own private iCloud. qteam service LLC has no access to this data. Without iCloud, the app keeps working and stores your trips on the device.

What do weather suggestions share?

Weather suggestions use Apple Weather. Only your destination’s location is sent to look up the forecast – never your own location.

How do I back up, print or share my lists?

You can create backups of your trips within the app. With Premium you can also print your lists or share them as a PDF. Backup files and PDFs contain your trip details and are not protected by the app’s Face ID lock – store and share them carefully.

How does the Face ID lock work?

When the lock is on, the app asks for Face ID (or your device passcode) before it shows your trips. Authentication is handled by the system – the app only learns whether it succeeded and never receives your face data. Note that widgets and Live Activities can show trip details on your Lock Screen – you can remove the widget, or turn off Live Activities for the app in the Settings app.

Can I use the app in my language and with accessibility features?

Yes. The app is available in 37 languages, with right-to-left layouts for Arabic and Hebrew, and works with VoiceOver, Larger Text, Bold Text, Increase Contrast and Reduce Motion. Read aloud tells you what’s still to pack, which documents to bring and what’s planned for today. All accessibility features are free.

How do I delete my data?

Trips you delete in the app are removed from your device and, through iCloud sync, from your iCloud and your other devices. Uninstalling the app removes the data on that device only. To remove the app’s data from iCloud, open the Settings app → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage (or Manage Storage), select the app if it is listed and delete its data. This cannot be undone.

Shared trips: when you leave a shared trip, it is removed from your devices; the owner’s copy and other participants’ copies remain. Backups, PDFs and printouts you created yourself are not affected.

How can I ask a question or send feedback?

Write to support@qteam-service-llc.com – we are happy to help. Please don’t send passport numbers, serial numbers or photos of documents.
